Khaberni - Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara said on Tuesday that his country will remain outside the American-Israeli war on Iran unless it faces aggression or if diplomatic solutions are exhausted.
Al-Shara, speaking during an event hosted by Chatham House Research Center in London, mentioned that Syria will remain outside any conflict unless it is targeted by any party.
He emphasized that he does not want Syria to become a battleground, but he stated that matters are not being managed by wise minds today, describing the situation as volatile and random.
The ongoing conflict in the region, now lasting a month, has left thousands dead, disrupted energy supplies, and now threatens to cause a collapse in the global economy.
In response to a question about whether Syria will remain neutral as the conflict continues, Al-Shara said that he wants his country to have perfect relations with the entire region.
He added that he believes Syria is qualified to start a network of strategic relationships.
