The Revolutionary Guard announces the death of Major General Jamshid Eshaghi in an attack targeting his home

Khaberni - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the death of the Iranian military adviser, Major General Jamshid Eshaghi, in an attack targeting his home.

In a statement, the commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guard on the occasion of the death of Eshaghi, adviser to the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, said: "I extend congratulations and condolences on the martyrdom of the mujahid commander, ‘Major General of the Revolutionary Guard Jamshid Eshaghi and some of his family members, due to the American-Zionist terrorist crime, to the position of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, and to all the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic, and to the heroic and history-making Iranian people, particularly the brave and loyal people of Khuzestan province".

He added: "This eminent commander, after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, spent his honorable life in his sacred position within the Revolutionary Guard, in sincere and jihadist service to precious Islam, defending the revolution and the Islamic regime, and contributing to fulfilling the country's needs and strengthening the capabilities of the forces defending the homeland and strong, proud Iran".

The statement continued: "I salute the memory, name, and role of this loyal and educated commander in the Sacred Defense for eight years and what followed until the imposed war lasting twelve days and the Ramadan War, and I pray to God Almighty for him to be exalted and accompanied by the master of martyrs Imam Hussein, and for his noble family, companions, colleagues, and admirers to persevere and continue in the path of governance and the bright path of the nation’s martyred leader and the martyrs of the revolution and the Sacred Defense".

The policy of assassinations targeting senior leaders and military and official figures in Iran continues since the inauguration of the American-Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28 last year.
