Amir of Qatar in Abu Dhabi

Khaberni - Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, discussed with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, the latest developments on the regional and international stages, and the efforts made to contain tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.

During the meeting, which was held today in the capital Abu Dhabi, the two sides discussed ways to reduce escalation amidst the rapid events taking place in the region, the ongoing Iranian assaults, and their security implications, and how they affect global energy supplies and market balance.

In this context, the Amir emphasized the importance of prioritizing diplomatic solutions as a means to resolve conflicts, and the necessity of enhancing joint efforts to maintain the security and stability of the region, to mitigate the impacts of current crises on both regional and international levels.

The two leaders also reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them, affirming the importance of intensifying coordination and consultation on various issues, which reflects the strength of the brotherly relations and strategic partnership between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the personal representative of the Amir, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khalifi, President of the Amiri Diwan, and a number of senior officials.

From the UAE side, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Presidential Court, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, National Security Advisor, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy President of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, and a number of senior officials were present.
