Brain Burnout This is the Cost of Increasing Reliance on AI

Khaberni - A recent report warned that intensive use of artificial intelligence technologies could lead to what some users describe as brain burnout, referring to a state of mental confusion and difficulty concentrating due to excessive reliance on these digital tools.

According to the report, a number of users reported feeling mental exhaustion when relying heavily on artificial intelligence for daily tasks, especially those that previously required direct intellectual effort. They indicate that this reliance may affect their ability to think independently or process information deeply.

Contrasting Effects
Despite these concerns, some studies have shown different results, where a study conducted on more than 1,400 employees in the United States demonstrated that the use of artificial intelligence in accomplishing routine tasks contributed to reducing rates of job burnout.

This variation in results reflects the complex nature of the relationship between humans and technology, as artificial intelligence can be a helpful tool that enhances productivity, but at the same time, it may create a kind of excessive dependence that negatively affects mental abilities.

Future Challenges
Experts point out that balanced use of artificial intelligence is the decisive factor in determining its impact on users. While these technologies can save time and effort, overusing them may lead to a decline in analytical and creative skills among individuals.

They also highlight that this rapid shift in work methods and thinking poses new challenges to educational and professional institutions, which may need to reconsider their training and qualification methods to keep up with this changing reality.

Conscious Use
In light of these contradictions, specialists call for adopting a more conscious approach to using artificial intelligence, based on achieving a balance between benefiting from its advanced capabilities and maintaining essential mental skills.

As these technologies continue to spread in various aspects of life, the question no longer seems to be whether artificial intelligence will affect the way we think, but how we can use it without losing our ability to think for ourselves.
