Khaberni - The University of Jordan has decided to begin implementing a package of measures aimed at controlling public spending and rationalizing the use of resources, based on a directive from the Prime Minister and in line with current circumstances.
In a statement, the university affirmed its full commitment to enforcing the decisions issued by the Prime Minister's office, emphasizing the need for all faculties, departments, and affiliated centers to adhere to the following items:
First: Control of vehicle use
Use of university-owned vehicles is restricted exclusively to official purposes, with their use outside regular working hours or their overnight parking outside the campus being prohibited. The university also announced the cancellation of all previous exemptions related to this matter.
Second: Regulation of travel and official delegations
The university has decided to suspend the travel of official delegations and committees abroad for two months, except in cases of extreme necessity that require clear justifications and prior approval from the Prime Minister. Hosting of official delegations and the reduction of expenses for official banquets and hospitality will also be suspended for two months from this date.
Third: Energy efficiency and services
The university administration has directed that air conditioners and heating devices not be used, as part of a comprehensive plan to reduce the energy bill and rationalize consumption within the university campus.
Fourth: Continuation of savings
The university emphasized that these measures are a continuation of a disciplined approach, according to previous decisions of the Cabinet.
