Jordan Hospital celebrates World Doctors Day and thirty years since its opening

Khaberni - Jordan Hospital held a commemorative celebration on the occasion of World Doctor's Day and the thirtieth anniversary of the opening of Jordan Hospital in the presence of several members of the health committee in the Senate, the President of the Medical Association, and a large number of specialist and consultant doctors, as well as the president of Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences.
Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Bashir, General Manager of Jordan Hospital, affirmed that celebrating World Doctor’s Day embodies Jordan Hospital's vision and its story of appreciation and pride in the medical profession and its noble mission towards humanity and nations, and honors Jordanian doctors who have charted a course of enduring medical achievements for Jordan.
Dr. Bashir recalled the journey of Jordan Hospital over the past thirty years when His Majesty King Hussein, may God have mercy on him, honored the hospital by inaugurating it, marking the launch of a major Arab medical edifice that achieved many accomplishments in a pioneering system of integrated medical services, pointing to the role of the hospital in elevating the medical stature of Jordan.
Professor Dr. Riyadh Saeed, Director of the Department of Continuing Medical Training and Education at the hospital, reviewed the journey of medical education and the batches of graduates from Jordan and the Arab world in various specialties, pointing to the hospital’s success in providing the Arab world with an elite group of young doctors who graduated from the hospital.
Professor Dr. Darwish Badran, President of Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences, gave a comprehensive overview of the university, which is affiliated with Jordan Hospital as a medical training center for its students, and spoke about the university's relationship with its partners from major international universities and the profession of medicine as a humanitarian profession.
Professor Dr. Issa Al-Khashashneh, President of the Medical Association, extended a heartfelt greeting to all Jordanian doctors on the occasion of World Doctor's Day, highlighting the significant role played by Jordanian doctors in cementing the clear medical image of the kingdom and elevating the Jordanian medical achievement that was accomplished through tremendous efforts by those in this sector and under direct royal patronage, thanking Jordan Hospital for this gracious gesture in celebrating World Doctor’s Day in recognition of the role and standing of the doctor (the wise) in Jordan.
During the event, honors were given to doctors from the training directors in the medical departments and graduates of Jordan Hospital from the current year's cohort in various medical specialties, as well as specialist doctors who graduated from Jordan Hospital and are still working there in medical centers, departments, and clinics, in addition to new doctors who joined the elite group of doctors at Jordan Hospital.
The honoring included Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Bashir, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Saeed, Dr. Mahmoud Khatib, Prof. Dr. Issa Al-Khashashneh, President of the Medical Association and head of the health committee in the Senate, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Yasin Al-Hasban, and Senate member His Excellency Prof. Dr. Youssef Al-Qusous.
