Khaberni - The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, received Mr. Fabian Schafer, the attaché and director of the (General Education and Higher Education) program for the European Union in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in a visit aimed at enhancing mutual cooperation in the academic and research fields and exchanging experiences between the university and European institutions.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Firouz Abou Sweilem, Director of the Global Engagement Center at the university, and lecturer Reem Al-Abd, Head of the Communication and International Corporations Department at the center, where they discussed future partnership opportunities and student and academic exchange programs supported by the European Commission.
Dr. Hamdan expressed the university's welcome to the European partner, affirming the university's commitment to developing its international relations and enhancing its participation in prestigious European programs such as "Erasmus+", which contribute to improving educational outcomes and enabling students to gain global experiences. He also praised the efforts of the European Union in supporting higher education and scientific research in the Middle East.
For his part, Mr. Fabian Schafer expressed his admiration for the advanced level achieved by Al-Ahliyya Amman University in infrastructure and academic programs, noting that the visit is a first step towards strategic partnerships that translate into tangible projects that benefit students and faculty members.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the guest was taken on an introductory tour of the university's facilities, which included the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management, the "Arena" sports complex, the College of Agricultural Technology, the College of Dentistry, and the College of Engineering, where he viewed the modern equipment and advanced laboratories that support the educational process and enhance the readiness of graduates for the job market.
