Khaberni - Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan hosted a distinguished introductory event organized by the Crown Prince Foundation, devoted to showcasing the foundation's pathways, programs, initiatives, and upcoming events, in a scene reflecting the deep integration between national institutions and universities in investing in youth energies and opening broader horizons for the university students to benefit from the distinctive initiatives aimed at empowering them and honing their skills, and enhancing their presence in the fields of economic participation, community involvement, and leadership.
The event was attended by the Director of the Capital Office at the Crown Prince Foundation, Mr. Ahmed Abushiha, the General Director of the All of Jordan Youth Commission at King Abdullah II Fund for Development, lawyer Abdul-Rahim Al-Zawahreh, the General Director of the National Academy for Training, Mr. Mohammad Al-Momani, along with the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mamoun Abu Hamad, the Director of the Career Guidance and Alumni Follow-Up Office, Ms. Hanan Marei, and the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Dr. Bilal Al-Wadi, with wide participation from faculty members and students, which added a qualitative interaction to the meeting reflecting the importance of its national and developmental contents.
During the meeting, Mr. Ahmed Abushiha reviewed a portfolio of programs and initiatives implemented by the Crown Prince Foundation, which embody its vision in empowering Jordanian youth, including: the Center of Excellence for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the Makers Space, the JoCodes initiative, the International Training Program, the 'Hussein’s Steps' program, and the ‘We’ platform, along with humanitarian campaigns and responses, the Crown Prince Award for Best Government Services Application, and the Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Volunteer Work.
He also highlighted the latest activities offered by the foundation, most notably the introductory sessions about its pathways, digital skills programs, environmental initiatives, and volunteering campaigns across various governorates of the kingdom, noting that these efforts fall under three main tracks that form the essence of the foundation's work: economic participation, leadership, and sustainable community development, in addition to national awards aimed at the youth.
Dr. Bilal Al-Wadi, the director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, emphasized that Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan is moving forward with strategic awareness in reinforcing its entrepreneurial approach as an institutional choice that enhances its academic and developmental role, and contributes to preparing a generation possessing the tools for initiative, the mindset for innovation, and the capacity for impact. He explained that the university views entrepreneurship and innovation as vital pathways in building the contemporary university personality and creating an educational environment conducive to creativity, capable of transforming energies into initiatives and projects with added value and tangible impact.
Dr. Al-Wadi reviewed the major activities of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the developmental quality programs and events it conducts, which contribute to spreading the culture of entrepreneurship, enhancing awareness of the importance of innovation, developing students' skills, and enabling them to interact with promising national opportunities, thus enhancing their readiness for the future and entrenching their ability to actively contribute to development and modernization endeavors.
This event is part of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan's commitment to expanding its partnerships with leading national institutions and enhancing cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation, which adds value to the students and opens wider horizons for them to benefit from the programs and initiatives that translate national visions into practical opportunities and genuine empowerment.
This hosting reflects the convergence of visions between the university and the foundation in believing in the role of youth and their capacity to achieve, and empowering them with the tools for the future, amid the wide national impact achieved by the Crown Prince Foundation. Its data shows that its programs have reached about 2.2 million young men and women, over 236,000 volunteers, and spread across 26 locations in various governorates of the kingdom, confirming its pivotal role in constructing a youth system that is more aware, capable, initiative, and impactful.
