Khaberni - The Cybercrime Unit has called on citizens not to publish or circulate rumors and false news, confirming that these are actions punishable by law.
The unit clarified in an awareness post on its social media page that Article (15) of the Cybercrime Law imposes penalties including imprisonment from 3 months to 3 years, and fines from 5 thousand to 28 thousand dinars, or both penalties.
It emphasized the need to verify information before publishing it, confirming that the responsibility includes everyone who contributes to its promotion, calling for reliance on official sources.
