Khaberni - In her defense, Turkish actress Hande Erçel expressed her deep sorrow after her name was involved in a celebrity case and she was accused of using prohibited substances.
In her first comment after being investigated, the Turkish star sent a message stating that she is busy with studies and acting, and that her presence at some locations mentioned in the investigations, where it was said substances were used, was due to work and not for leisure.
Erçel said: "I am currently continuing my studies at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Besides that, I am working in acting. I have only been to the restaurant in Bebek Hotel a few times to attend work meetings. Other than that, I do not have a nightlife."
She also confirmed that she did not attend the parties mentioned in the investigations with businessmen, stating: "I did not attend any parties or private events, and I do not know anyone mentioned in the file who organizes such parties. I was not aware of these parties and events, and I did not receive any invitations."
Hande denies using prohibited substances: I care about my image
Hande Erçel denied using any prohibited substances, affirming that she maintains her health and image in front of her audience by saying: "I have not used prohibited or performance-enhancing drugs at any stage of my life, but I am keen on leading a healthy lifestyle due to my work in the arts field, as I have been working in front of cameras for about 13 years, and I recognize my influence on the audience, therefore I always take care of my life, and strive to be a role model for everyone, and to represent my country well abroad."
She also defended her former lover Hakan Sabanci, confirming that she never saw him use any prohibited substances or stimulants, and expressed her regret for her name being mentioned in this case, where she said: "I categorically reject the allegations directed at me."
