Khaberni - The Tourism Promotion Authority held today, Monday, March 30, 2026, the first regular annual general meeting for 2026, attended by the chairman of the Tourism Promotion Authority, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Imad Hijazin, the board members, and the general manager of the Tourism Promotion Authority, Ramzi Muayta, and representatives of the concerned entities, where the annual report of the Authority's activities for the year 2025 was discussed, along with reviewing the financial statements and the report of the independent auditor.
The financial statements for 2025 were also discussed, where the financial performance results and expenditure indicators were reviewed, in the context of adherence to governance and transparency standards, in addition to listening to the independent auditor's report which confirmed the correctness of financial procedures and the accuracy of the data in the financial statements.
At the end of the meeting, the general assembly approved the annual report and financial statements for 2025, praising the efforts made by the board of directors and the executive management. It also briefed the general assembly on the actions taken by the ministry and the authority to face the current crisis and its impact on the sector, emphasizing the importance of continuing efforts to enhance the competitiveness of the Jordanian tourism sector and achieve its strategic goals in the coming phase.
