Khaberni - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard officially announced today, Monday, the death of its naval forces commander, Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, due to his wounds.
The Revolutionary Guard stated in a statement: "The martyred Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, whose martyrdom came after the severe strikes that led to the destruction of important enemy facilities and infrastructure and the downing of an American aircraft, ascended to meet God, affected by his wounds while organizing the forces and strengthening the defenses on the islands and coasts targeted by the enemies."
The statement added: "Our people are accustomed to such sacrifices, and know that the front, which did not stop with the departure of the greatest leaders but grew stronger, will continue its path steadily even with the martyrdom of field commanders, as the Revolutionary Guard's naval forces proved these days through their continuous strikes and their control over the Strait of Hormuz area."
It pointed out that "this force, which has previously faced the operations of major powers and broke their prestige in escorting oil tankers and capturing American and British soldiers, continues its journey today, where every fighter in it is a new 'Tangsiri'."
Last Thursday, Israeli Security Minister Yisrael Katz announced the assassination of the commander of the naval forces in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, General Ali Reza Tangsiri, saying he was "directly responsible for planting mines and closing the Strait of Hormuz."
