He explained that these indicators reflect that the government was moving in the right direction with its economic vision, noting that the results of the last quarter of the past year, which will be released soon, will confirm this path, until the war this year and its various repercussions.

He added that this is not the first time the Jordanian economy has undergone crises, confirming that the economy has proven over the years and past decades its stability and resilience during various regional and global crises.

Shehadeh clarified that the current conditions require a short-term plan to deal with the repercussions of tensions in the region, due to the dynamic changes witnessed in the current phase, pointing out that the government relies on "foresight and gradualism" as a basis in making economic decisions.

He mentioned that the initial measures taken by the government included banning the export of basic products locally consumed, in addition to moving towards agreements with Syria to explore alternatives for the Aqaba port, and the possibility of importing and exporting through Syrian ports.
