Khaberni - A Gulf-Russian-Jordanian ministerial meeting is held today to discuss the Iranian attacks on the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Jordan, and the serious developments in the region.
The statement by Jassim Al-Badiwi, the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council, mentioned on the Council's website that the joint ministerial meeting will be held using video conferencing technology.
Al-Badiwi added: "The joint Gulf-Russian-Jordanian ministerial meeting is convened to discuss the repercussions of the brutal Iranian attacks on the Cooperation Council countries and Jordan, and the serious developments in the region".
He said: "The meeting will include the foreign ministers of the Cooperation Council countries, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, via video conferencing technology".
Vladimir Safronkov, the Russian Foreign Ministry's envoy for the Middle East, warned that any attempt to impose military solutions in the Gulf region only leads to further escalation.
He stated: "We must learn from history, and the lesson learned is that all attempts to solve regional problems by force have only led to their repeated exacerbation, and instead of the promised stability and 'democratic renewal', new crises have emerged that exacerbate chronic crises".
The American-Israeli war on Iran has entered its second month, with continued airstrikes on Iran, which retaliates by striking Israeli territories and American military sites in the Middle East.
