Haifa Wehbes film Beauty of the Soul resurfaces after 13 years since its premiere

Khaberni - Nada El Sobky, the producer of the film "Beauty of the Soul" starring Haifa Wehbe, surprised her followers by announcing a revelation about the reasons the film was banned at the time, pointing out that a famous artist was involved, thereby reopening the file on the film’s halted screening, 13 years after its premiere, revealing new details about the real reasons behind its suspension then.

Nada El Sobky wrote a post on her official Facebook account, during which she launched a sharp criticism campaign at unnamed parties and individuals, confirming that she recently discovered the identity of the person responsible for halting the screening of the film "Beauty of the Soul" starring Haifa Wehbe, referring to what she described as "systematic and paid campaigns" aimed at influencing public opinion.

In her post, Nada El Sobky stated that what happened was not just natural criticisms, but an organized campaign that included directing advertisements and creating a contrary public opinion, attributing this to "artistic jealousy," conflicts within the industry, and describing it as a "shock" due to what she considered a betrayal by close associates. Nada El Sobky also hinted at the role of a competing artist without explicitly naming her.

The post by El Sobky caused a significant controversy and interaction, as followers' opinions were divided between those who supported her version and those who were skeptical about the timing of revealing these details after all these years.

While some saw that reopening the case could refocus attention on the film, others pointed out that the controversy surrounding its original release was a main reason for the public's increased curiosity and follow-up.

Details of the problem with the film "Beauty of the Soul" starring Haifa Wehbe
The film "Beauty of the Soul," starring Haifa Wehbe, was first released in 2014, and achieved widespread distribution, but faced a wave of sharp criticism at the time due to what was considered boldness in some of its scenes. The plot revolves around "Rooh," a young wife who finds herself facing a greedy society during her husband's travel abroad, putting her in complex human and social situations.

A ministerial decision was issued at the time to halt the screening of the film and withdraw it from cinemas, returning it to the Media Censorship Board for reevaluation, a decision that sparked widespread debate about the limits of creative freedom. Five years after that issue, a judicial decision was issued to re-release the film.

In a new development in the recent problem of the artist Haifa Wehbe with the Musicians' Syndicate after the latter insisted on banning "the diva" from singing in Egypt, Haifa escalated the confrontation with the Syndicate and filed an official report against them, protesting the ongoing ban despite obtaining a judicial ruling and an execution form allowing her to continue her artistic activities.
