Khaberni - The lawyer and MP Saleh Al-Armouti directed a parliamentary question to the Prime Minister, about the removal of the names of Izz ad-Din al-Qassam and Sayyid Qutb from the capital’s streets by the Greater Amman Municipality.
Al-Armouti demanded clarification on which authority issued the decision and the reasons behind it, in addition to specifying the duration the streets had borne the mentioned names before their removal.
He also inquired whether there is any intention by the Amman Municipality to cancel or remove other names from the capital's streets, especially those associated with leaders from colonial countries.
