Theft of more than 400000 Kit Kat chocolate bars under mysterious circumstances

Khaberni - In shocking news, the giant Swiss food company Nestlé announced that about 12 tons or 413,793 pieces of chocolate bearing its brand "Kit Kat" were stolen after they were transferred from the production site in Italy to Poland earlier this week, warning of a possible shortage in the markets soon.

The company confirmed in an official statement that a truck transporting 413,793 units of its new chocolate collection was stolen while crossing within Europe, and the missing shipment weighs about 12 tons and disappeared last week while moving between production and distribution sites, according to the "Gulf News" site.

Just before Easter
According to the company, the theft might cause a shortage on the shelves just before Easter, one of the most important seasons for confectionery sales on the continent, where consumers are expected to have difficulties in finding their favorite chocolate.

The truck had started its journey from central Italy headed to Poland, with the load to be distributed in several European countries along the route, and the company did not specify the exact location where the shipment was lost, but clarified that the vehicle and its contents are still of unknown fate.

In a humorous comment on the incident, a spokesperson for the brand said: "We have always encouraged people to take a break with Kit Kat, but it seems the thieves took the message literally and took a break with more than 12 tons of chocolate."

He added that investigations are still ongoing in close cooperation with local authorities and supply chain partners, with the possibility of the stolen products leaking into unofficial sales channels in the European markets.

Traceability
"Kit Kat" also revealed that each chocolate bar carries a unique batch production code, which facilitates tracing through electronic scanning, confirming that if any matches are detected, clear instructions will be given to report to the company, which will then share the evidence with the relevant authorities.
