Khaberni - Bahrain Aluminium Company (Alba) announced that one of its facilities was attacked by Iran, following a similar attack targeting Emirates Global Aluminium, causing significant damage.
"Alba," in a statement via email, stated that it is currently assessing the extent of the damage to its facilities, while Emirates Global Aluminium confirmed that a number of its employees were injured in the attacks, describing the injuries as "not serious," with damage assessment ongoing.
These attacks come at a time when the American-Israeli war on Iran continues for the thirtieth consecutive day, with the continuation of exchange of missile and drone strikes affecting several Gulf states, despite assurances from the region's countries on neutralizing themselves from the circle of direct confrontation.
It should be noted that the UAE had declared since the beginning of the escalation its commitment not to allow the use of its land, airspace, or waters in any military operations against Iran, with assurances of not providing any logistical support. In response, the UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed the continued readiness to resolutely confront any threats targeting the state's security and sovereignty.
In addition to other Gulf countries, the UAE is facing security and economic pressures due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the disruption of maritime navigation, which has impacted global supply chains and energy markets. This comes at a time when Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and other Gulf countries announced their response to similar attacks in recent days.
