Khaberni - Channel 13 in Israel has revealed that discussions have taken place within the Israeli military on how to respond to Houthi group attacks, amid security estimates leaning towards executing a direct military response.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority quoted an Israeli official as saying the military will respond to the Houthis "forcefully," asserting that the group "will pay the price."
This comes after the Israeli military announced intercepting a missile launched from Yemen towards southern Israel, specifically towards the areas of Be'er Sheva and the Negev, with no casualties or material damage reported, according to military sources.
On the other hand, the military spokesman for the Ansar Allah group announced that the group carried out attacks on targets described as "vital" in southern Palestine using cruise missiles and drones.
The spokesman noted that the operation coincided with operations carried out by Iran and Hezbollah, confirming that the attacks "successfully achieved their objectives."
He added that the group will continue to execute its operations in the coming days until "the aggression stops."
The Houthi group also claimed the attack, with its military spokesman Yahya Sare'e announcing the launch of "a batch of ballistic missiles" towards sensitive military targets in the south of the country.
This development comes hours after threats issued by the group, in which they confirmed their readiness for direct military intervention alongside Iran, should the American and Israeli strikes continue.
Channel 12 in Israel reported intercepting a ballistic missile launched from Yemen towards southern regions of Israel, with no casualties, while the "Ansar Allah" group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that "alarm sirens went off in Dimona, Be'er Sheva, and Eilat, after detecting rocket fire from Yemen for the first time since the conflict erupted."
The Walla site quoted Israeli military officials as saying that "the Houthis have officially entered the current military confrontation line."
