Pentagon Ammo Crisis High Consumption of 850 Tomahawk Missiles Sparks Concern Over Strategic Inventory Gaps

Khaberni - American press reports revealed Saturday evening a growing state of concern within the corridors of the US Department of Defense "Pentagon" due to the sharp and worrying depletion in the stock of strategic "Tomahawk" missiles, caused by the high rate of usage during the ongoing military confrontation with Iran.

The depletion of billions from the stock and "Washington Post" and "Daily Mail" reported that since the start of the military operation named "Lion's Roar" by Trump, about 850 Tomahawk missiles were launched. These precision-guided missiles cost about $3.6 million each and are valuable for their ability to strike deep targets in Iran from a distance of 1600 km without the need to send manned aircraft and risking pilots' lives.

The term "Winchester"... Ammunition is about to run out and reports from US officials described the current situation as "concerningly low," where the stockpile is nearing a military term called "Winchester" (Winchester), which means complete depletion of ammunition. Sources indicated that the US defense industries produce only a few hundred of these missiles annually, while the department only purchased 57 missiles last year, which is entirely disproportionate to the current consumption on the Iranian front.

Difficult Choices for Washington and the US administration is currently considering urgent options that include transferring quantities of these missiles from other global fronts, particularly from the Indian and Pacific Ocean region, to compensate for the shortage in the Middle East. If the depletion continues, US forces may have to switch to using conventional unguided bombs via aircraft, a risky choice despite the imposed air control, especially after last week’s incident of an "F-35" stealth aircraft being hit and forced to make an emergency landing due to enemy fire over Iran as well.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for "the War Department" (the name preferred by Trump), Sean Parnell, denied these reports, stating that the military possesses all the necessary means to carry out any mission designated by the President at any time and place he chooses, in continuous coordination with allies and under field supervision by Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir to ensure the effectiveness of the airstrikes.
