Jordan  Launch of the Nursery Owners Union to Regulate Early Childhood Sector

Khaberni - It was announced today, Saturday, that the Nursery Owners' Union has been launched, in a step aimed at regulating the early childhood sector and enhancing the quality of services provided in it, during a ceremony held at the Zaha Cultural Center.
Social Development Minister Wafaa Bani Mustafa stated during her patronage of the launch ceremony that this step is part of national efforts to develop the nursery sector, contributing to family support, women's empowerment, and enhancing their participation in the labor market.
She added that nursery services are an important factor in supporting families by providing a safe and suitable environment for children, allowing mothers greater opportunities for work and job stability, and helping to balance family and professional responsibilities.
She noted that expanding the establishment of nurseries is part of national efforts to enhance economic and social development, as part of the economic modernization vision and the national strategy for social protection for the years 2025-2033, pointing out that investing in this sector positively reflects on the family and the community.
She indicated that the ministry is working on developing the regulatory environment for the nursery sector, by simplifying the procedures related to their establishment and registration, in addition to providing technical support and training to those working in it, thus contributing to the improvement of the quality of services provided to children, and enhancing the efficiency of the workforce in this field.
She affirmed that the ministry continues to support the expansion of nursery services, especially in areas that need more of these services, ensuring they reach the largest possible segment of families.
For her part, a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Women and the Family, Deputy Dr. Bayan Al-Mahasiri, emphasized the importance of the nursery sector in providing an appropriate environment for children, its role in supporting the family and enhancing women's economic participation, and the need to focus on the quality of care provided to children, contributing to their proper upbringing, in addition to the role of nurseries in supporting the family and providing a supportive environment for mothers.
In turn, the head of the Nursery Owners' Union, Mohammad Al-Momani, said that the union's launch represents a regulatory step aimed at developing the sector and enhancing the level of services provided in the field of early childhood, positively affecting children and families, confirming that the union will work to support those working in the sector, improve their efficiency, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, contributing to achieving the developmental goals associated with the early childhood sector.
The launch ceremony was attended by the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Women and the Family, Deputy Faliha Al-Khudair, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Social Development, Dr. Barq Al-Damour, the Acting Director-General of the Vocational Training Corporation, Engineer Ra'fat Al-Sawafin, and several nursery owners.
