Diplomats or Revolutionary Guard Iran publishes photos of 6 victims in Lebanon

Khaberni - The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced the death of 6 of its diplomats as a result of Israeli attacks on their residence in Lebanon.

The ministry said in a statement last Friday evening: "In a heinous crime, the Zionist regime killed our diplomats in Lebanon... by attacking their residence," according to the Tasnim agency.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry described the killing of the six diplomats as "an example of organized terrorism and an attack on the fundamental principles of international law."

Meanwhile, official Iranian agencies published the names and photos of those whom they said were diplomats killed in Lebanon, announcing at the same time their ranks in the Revolutionary Guard.

It also mentioned that the victims are: Sayed Mohammad Reza Mousavi, Ali Reza Biyazar, Majid Hassani Kandeser, Hussein Ahmadloo, Ahmad Rasouli, and Amir Moradi.

Israel had previously targeted the Ramada Hotel in the Raouche area, in central Beirut, while Tehran announced then the killing of 4 of its diplomats.

Meanwhile, Israel announced that it targeted elements affiliated with the Quds Force, the external arm of the Revolutionary Guard in Beirut.

This came as the relationship between the Lebanese government and the Iranian embassy has recently experienced notable tensions due to the Revolutionary Guard's involvement in supporting Hezbollah, which opened the Lebanese front in the ongoing war between Israel and Iran.

Since March 2, Hezbollah has launched rockets and drones towards northern Israel "in retaliation" for the killing of the Iranian leader Ali Khamenei.

In response, Israel has carried out intense air strikes on southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Eyal Zamir, threatened prolonged strikes on Hezbollah, "which may last for many days."
