Jordan draws with Costa Rica 22 in a friendly match

Khaberni - The national football team tied with its counterpart, the Costa Rican team, with a score of 2-2, in a friendly match held on Friday evening at Marden Stadium in the city of Antalya, Turkey.

Baha' Faisal scored the first goal for "Al-Nashama" at the 50th minute, before Ibrahim Sabra enhanced the score with the second goal at the 76th minute, while the Costa Rican team narrowed the gap with a penalty kick at the 83rd minute, before achieving a draw at the 90th minute.

"Al-Nashama" met Costa Rica within their current training camp in Turkey, preparing for the historic participation in the 2026 World Cup.

The national team's head coach, Jamal Salami, is looking to benefit from this encounter by finding solutions to compensate for the expected absences due to injuries.

The national team will also play another friendly match against Nigeria at 8:30 PM on Tuesday, March 31, at the same stadium.

The squad list for the camp includes 26 players: Yazid Abu Layla, Abdullah Al-Fakhoury, Abdul Rahman Suleiman, Abdullah Nassib, Yazan Al Arab, Hossam Abu Zohab, Mohammad Abu Al-Nadi, Salim Obeid, Yousuf Abu Al-Jazar, Ahmad Assaf, Mohannad Abu Taha, Mohammad Abu Hashish, Mohammad Taha, Ibrahim Saadah, Amer Jamous, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Noor Al-Rawabdeh, Yousuf Qushi, Mohammad Al-Dawood, Mahmoud Mardhi, Musa Al-Taamari, Ibrahim Sabra, Oday Al-Fakhoury, Mohammad Abu Zureik, Ali Azayzeh, and Baha' Faisal.

It is noteworthy that the Al-Nashama team will hold its final assembly before participating in the World Cup finals in May and June, where it will meet Switzerland on Sunday, May 31, in the city of St. Gallen, before heading to the United States to face Colombia on Sunday, June 7, in the city of San Diego, at which point it will settle in its official camp during the World Cup in the city of Portland, USA.

The Al-Nashama team is preparing for its first participation in the history of the World Cup, where it has been placed in Group 10 alongside the teams of Argentina, Algeria, and Austria.

The Jordan Football Association is aiming through these camps to provide all means of support to the national team, ensuring a dignified appearance that befits the reputation of Jordanian football in this significant global event.
