Khaberni - "The Prince of Arabic Music" artist Hani Shaker is preparing to leave the French capital, Paris, returning to Cairo at the end of next week, after a critical medical journey that saw him undergo delicate colon surgery, and substantial improvement in his vital indicators.
To Cairo
A source close to the family revealed exclusively to "Alarabiya.net" that the artist's wife, Nahlah Tawfiq, and his son, Sherif, are with him at the hospital, monitoring his condition moment by moment with the treating medical team.
The source added that Shaker's health has greatly improved, allowing the treating doctor to permit him to move outside the room with the assistance of the nursing team, as well as his wife and son.
The source confirmed that Professor Alexander Roe, who is treating Hani Shaker, reassured the family that it might be possible to allow him to leave the hospital and return to Cairo at the end of the next week, after completing the treatment protocol he is undergoing, especially as by that time he will have completed his treatment period and his general health condition would be fully reassured.
To a private suite
The treating medical team had decided to transfer artist Hani Shaker from the ICU to a private suite in the hospital, following a noticeable stabilization in his health condition.
The treating doctor confirmed that Shaker had passed the critical phase and no longer needed the special medical devices used in intensive care, especially since his blood oxygen level had returned to normal, which means he no longer needs artificial respiratory devices; his pulse is functioning well along with other vital functions.
