Israel Threatens Iran with Harsher Strikes After Continued Rocket Fire

Khaberni - Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced on Friday that Israel would intensify its strikes on Iran in light of the ongoing rocket launches, threatening that Iran will pay a heavy price.

Katz said in a video published by his office "Despite the warnings, the firing continues, and consequently, the Israeli army's strikes in Iran will intensify and expand, targeting other sectors that support the regime in developing and using military means against Israeli civilians. They will pay a heavy price, increasingly so, for this war crime."

The Iran war erupted on February 28, following large-scale airstrikes by the United States and Israel targeting vital and military facilities and command centers in Tehran and several other cities, resulting in the death of the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, on the first day, along with a number of high-ranking officials and leaders, including the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, and prominent leaders in the Revolutionary Guard.

In response, Iran launched an operation by firing hundreds of missiles and drones towards Israel and countries in the region, coupled with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which caused a spike in energy prices.

The war extended to Lebanon on March 2, after Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel following the assassination of Ali Khamenei, to which the latter responded with extensive air strikes and a ground incursion into southern Lebanon.
