Iran Strait of Hormuz Closed Any Transit Will Face Strict Measures

Khaberni - Iranian media quoted the Revolutionary Guard stating on Friday that navigation "from and to ports of allies and supporters of "Israel and the United States" is prohibited through any waterway or to any destination.

The Revolutionary Guard added that the Strait of Hormuz is closed, and any passage through the waterway will face strict measures.

Media reported that three container ships of different nationalities were turned back from the Strait of Hormuz after warnings from the navy affiliated with the Revolutionary Guard.

The Iran war erupted on February 28, following widespread airstrikes by the United States and Israel targeting vital and military facilities and command centers in Tehran and several other cities, resulting in the death of the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, on the first day, along with several top officials and leaders, including the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, and prominent leaders in the Revolutionary Guard.

In response, Iran launched an operation by firing hundreds of missiles and drones towards Israel and countries in the region, with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, leading to a rise in energy prices.

The war extended to Lebanon on March 2, after Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel following the assassination of Ali Khamenei, to which the latter responded with wide-ranging air raids and a ground incursion into southern Lebanon.
