Khaberni - Artist Najat Al-Saghira denied the authenticity of the images that recently invaded social media platforms, which promoters claimed to represent her latest appearance as the "harp of Arabic singing," confirming that these images were fabricated and do not reflect her current true features.
In a phone call with writer Ahmed Al-Maslamani, head of the National Media Authority in Egypt, the Egyptian star explained that the widely circulated photos, in which she appears wearing a jalabiya inside her home, had been altered using "artificial intelligence" technology to appear unrealistically.
Najat Al-Saghira (87 years old) expressed her deep regret for the spread of such fabricated materials without the slightest scrutiny or review, or even an attempt to compare them to her recent real pictures.
On his part, the program "Good Morning Egypt" on Egyptian television reported on Al-Maslamani's dismay at the exploitation of the history of artistic icons to create "trends," noting that what is even more regrettable is the association of these images with false information aimed solely at attracting attention and gaining fame at the expense of truth and a rich artistic history.
Al-Maslamani confirmed that the most recent official appearance of artist Najat Al-Saghira was in November (Tishreen II) last year, during her visit to the Capital Administrative Opera and the headquarters of the National Media Authority, a visit that documented her true features away from technological falsification.
It is noted that artist Najat Al-Saghira, who is preparing to celebrate her eighty-eighth birthday on the eleventh of August (August) next, enjoys a creative career spanning over 56 years, during which she presented unforgettable cinematic masterpieces such as "Black Candles" and "Tears Dried," in addition to iconic songs that resonated with the Arab audience like "Do not lie" and "Eyes of the Heart."
Najat Al-Saghira has received significant honors throughout her career from Arab kings and presidents, most notably by the late Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser and the late Tunisian President Habib Bourguiba.
