Jordan Commerce Batteries Lighting Units and Chargers Available in Large Quantities

Khaberni - The representative of the electrical and electronics sector in the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Hatem Al-Zu'bi, said on Thursday that there has been a recent increase in the demand for batteries and solar panels due to citizens' fears of supply disruptions or electricity cuts stemming from regional conditions and the US-Israeli war on Iran.

He added in his talk to "Al-Mamlaka" that batteries, lighting units, and chargers are available in large quantities, urging not to rush to purchase them.

Al-Zu'bi explained that the demand is still within normal levels, despite the recorded increase, emphasizing the availability of all sector necessities.

Al-Zu'bi also emphasized that supply chains are operating normally and are reaching the Aqaba port on schedule, and there is no shortage in electrical imports or energy.

He mentioned that the prices of electrical imports have increased by 10% in the country of origin, which has reflected on the Jordanian market.

Regarding the installation of solar energy systems, Al-Zu'bi warned against resorting to unlicensed entities, stressing the importance of dealing with certified, officially registered companies, and obtaining the necessary approvals from relevant authorities, particularly the Energy Authority.

He also alerted to the spread of misleading advertisements through social media, which could expose citizens to legal risks and financial penalties, urging compliance with official procedures to avoid any legal consequences.
