Khaberni - The General Union for Petroleum and Chemical Workers of Jordan, through its president Khaled Al-Ziyoud, emphasized that national unity is the fundamental pillar in facing current challenges, stressing that Jordan, with its Hashemite leadership, its people, and its army, stands today at a moment that requires the highest levels of awareness, responsibility, and cohesion.
Al-Ziyoud stated that the rapidly evolving events and escalating tensions in the region require everyone to rise to the level of the stage, and to avoid anything that would weaken the home front or plant seeds of division among the citizens of the same nation, emphasizing that national cohesion is not an option, but a crucial necessity to protect Jordan and safeguard its security and stability.
He added that the union categorically rejects all forms of discrimination, hate speech, and treason, which serve only the enemies of the nation, calling for prioritizing the language of reason and wisdom, enhancing the spirit of belonging and loyalty, and rallying around the inclusive national constants that have always been a source of strength for Jordanians in facing crises.
Al-Ziyoud emphasized that standing united behind the wise Hashemite leadership, and supporting the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, and the security agencies, is a national and moral duty, confirming that these institutions have always been the robust shield and strong support that protects the nation and preserves its dignity and sovereignty.
He noted that the people of Jordan, who have proven throughout history their ability to overcome hardships and challenges, are called upon today more than ever to maintain their unity, adhere to a spirit of responsibility, and refrain from following rumors or attempts to incite strife, which target undermining the stability of the nation and shaking its security.
He affirmed that Jordan's security is a red line, above all consideration, and cannot be compromised under any circumstance, emphasizing that protecting the nation is a collective responsibility that requires the cooperation of everyone, from their respective positions, to preserve its achievements and safeguard its future.
Al-Ziyoud also called on media outlets and social media influencers to verify accuracy and responsibility in transmitting information, to rely on official sources, and not to be swayed by misleading news, as this has a direct impact on the cohesion of the society and its stability.
Al-Ziyoud concluded his statement by affirming that the General Union for Petroleum and Chemical Workers of Jordan, and its members in various workplaces, will remain committed, loyal to the nation and its leadership, faithful soldiers in service of Jordan, supporting all national efforts that preserve its security and protect its stability, and believing that the unity of Jordanians will remain the strongest weapon in facing all challenges.
