Khaberni - Under the patronage of the Minister of Environment, Dr. Ayman Sulaiman, the Jordan Green Building Council (Jordan GBC) honored the Jordan Kuwait Bank as the first bank in Jordan to obtain the global green building certification (EDGE) issued by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), for its headquarters during the year 2025, in recognition of its efforts in adopting best environmental sustainability practices in the banking sector.
This took place during the annual Ramadan Iftar event organized by the council, which the bank sponsored at the Intercontinental Hotel, attended by a selection of decision-makers and sustainability leaders in the kingdom.
The bank's sponsorship of this event reaffirms its strategic partnership with the Jordan Green Building Council and its continuous support for initiatives that enhance the concepts of sustainable building and contribute to supporting the transition to a green economy in the kingdom.
It is noted that the Jordan Green Building Council is a Jordanian association that works on promoting environmentally friendly building concepts and enhancing their practical applications in the kingdom and represents Jordan in the global network of Green Building Councils which includes more than 80 councils around the world.
