15 Points for 5 Conflicting Terms Between Iran and America

Khaberni - As negotiations continue to arrange an American meeting with Iran in Pakistan, according to what a US official disclosed to CNN, some observers believe that the mutual conditions that were leaked were set to be rejected

As three informed sources in the Israeli government revealed that the American proposal consisting of 15 points, which Pakistan conveyed to the Iranian side, included getting rid of Iran's stocks of highly enriched uranium, stopping enrichment operations, curbing Iran's ballistic missile program, and stopping its financing of allied groups in the region, an Iranian official clarified his country's 5 conditions.
A senior political and security official told Iran's Press TV yesterday evening that his country wants to "end acts of aggression and assassinations," create tangible conditions that ensure the war does not recur, guarantee war reparations and clearly define mechanisms for this, in addition to ending the war on all fronts, to include all factions involved in this war, and recognizing Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz as a natural and legal right.
Timing of the End of War

He confirmed that Tehran would end the war at a time it decides itself, and if the conditions it set are met, and will not allow U.S. President Donald Trump to impose a timeline for ending the war.

The source also considered that the United States made a request to negotiate through various diplomatic channels, and proposed proposals characterized by an "expansionist tendency, and are not in line with the reality of the American defeat in the field" according to his description.

Furthermore, he indicated that his country considers these proposals or conditions a trick to increase tension, especially after it was revealed during the last two occasions that America had no real intention to negotiate.

Threat with Escalation

In contrast, the White House yesterday refrained from revealing details of its proposal which it submitted through intermediaries to Iran, to stop the war and threatened with an escalation of strikes. The White House spokeswoman Carolaine Levitt told reporters, "If they do not realize that they have been militarily defeated, and will remain so, President Trump will ensure to guide stronger strikes against them than any previous one."

Meanwhile, a senior Israeli defense official revealed that Israel doubts Iran would agree to the terms, and fears that the American negotiators might make concessions. A second source said that Israel also wants any agreement to keep the option of launching preemptive strikes, according to what Reuters reported.

Also, Ofer Falk, advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for foreign affairs, expressed deep skepticism about the Iranian side's readiness to negotiate to end the war.
Set to be Rejected

While six regional sources knowledgeable about Iran's position informed the intermediaries that Lebanon must be part of any ceasefire agreement with the United States and Israel.

While the researcher Ali Wa'ez, specializing in Iranian affairs, believed that those conditions were set to be rejected. He wrote in a post on X last night: "The American proposal asked for things the Iranians had previously refused... and the Iranian proposal asked for things that will not be accepted by the Americans."

This comes as the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) plans to send thousands of soldiers by air to the Gulf to give Trump more options regarding giving an order to launch a ground attack, in addition to two Marine divisions already on their way to the region. The first Marine unit is expected to arrive aboard a massive amphibious assault ship by the end of the current month (March 2026) approximately.

Trump reiterated yesterday the threat of opening the gates of hell on Iran unless an agreement is reached.

In contrast, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, confirmed that the country's highest authorities are reviewing the proposals submitted through intermediaries (Pakistan and Egypt). He added that his country does not seek war. However, he emphasized that it wants to end the conflict permanently and compensate for the destruction.

Meanwhile, a Pakistani source revealed that the Iranians informed Islamabad that they will be in touch to respond to the proposals to end the war, although some Iranian media pointed out that Tehran rejected the proposal. He concluded, emphasizing that Pakistan "has not yet received any official confirmation from Iran. Therefore, it is still waiting" according to what Reuters reported.
