The Parliamentary Committee on Labor, Social Development and Population listens to the observations of the Economic and Social Council, a number of journalists specializing in political affairs, and the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, regarding the draft amendment to the Social Security Law for the year 2026.
The House of Representatives, by majority, agreed to refer the draft amendment to the Social Security Law for the year 2026 to the Parliamentary Committee on Labor, Social Development and Population, after a preliminary reading of the draft law, which included speeches and interventions by the heads of parliamentary blocs.
The Speaker of the Council, Mazen Al-Qadi, said that the Council will deal with the draft law on social security with the highest levels of national responsibility and seriousness, away from any haste or emotion, confirming that the draft law is under careful observation and in-depth study for objective treatment to ensure the highest national interest is achieved.
He explained that the House of Representatives realizes that the "security" law is not just a mere legal text, but legislation linked to social security and economic stability, directly affecting various segments of society.
