SaudiEuropean Conflict Mohamed Salah Receives Tempting Offers

Khaberni - Egyptian star Mohamed Salah has received tempting offers from clubs active in the Saudi Professional League, after he officially announced his departure from Liverpool by the end of the current season.
Salah, 33, announced last night, Tuesday, that he will end his nine-year stint with Liverpool at the end of the current season (2025-2026).

Just 12 months after signing a new two-year deal with a weekly salary of 400,000 British pounds, Salah and the Liverpool administration agreed on a free transfer of the Egyptian player.

Salah has previously been linked with a move to the Saudi League, particularly to Al-Ittihad Club, after they made a phenomenal offer in 2023, which was immediately rejected by the club.

The British newspaper "The Sun" revealed that with support from the financial power of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr, and Al-Hilal are ready to offer an annual salary of 61.5 million British pounds for a three-year contract, in addition to a signing bonus of about 26.5 million British pounds.

It explained, "The total value of the contract will reach 210 million British pounds over 3 seasons, exempt from taxes, and will continue until Salah reaches the age of 36."

The British newspaper added: "The recent disputes between Al-Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo, who will turn 42 in February, could make Al-Nassr the most likely club to sign Salah if he is looking to turn the page on the Portuguese star era."

However, Al-Ittihad, which includes Salah’s former teammate at "Anfield," Brazilian Fabinho, is looking for a new captain after losing the former France and Real Madrid star, Karim Benzema, who moved to Al-Hilal in a free transfer deal, and has the financial ability to meet the demands of the Egyptian star.

Spanish and Italian clubs will also be in the competition if Salah wishes to stay in Europe and refuses to move to Saudi Arabia like Ronaldo, or move to the United States like Argentine star Lionel Messi.

Salah is very keen on securing a three-year contract, although he may accept an initial two-year deal with an option to extend for an additional 12 months.

The Egyptian star is hesitant to move to the United States at this stage, due to family concerns about settling there.

Besides Saudi Arabia and America, his previous experiences in Italy with Fiorentina and Roma mean that Italian league clubs are interested in him if he wishes to stay in Europe.

Clubs like AC Milan, their neighbor Inter, and Napoli show interest in him, though their financial offers will be much lower than those from the Saudi League, totaling about 25 million British pounds over two years.

Other options include Turkey, where Galatasaray can offer a similar deal to the Italian offers, while Barcelona may emerge as a potential option later in the summer.
