Khaberni - President Donald Trump announced that Iran is negotiating with the United States and shows a strong desire to strike a deal, but fears announcing it because of its people, and he claims victory, according to him.
Trump said in statements carried by American media: "By the way, they are negotiating and they very much want to strike a deal, but they are afraid to declare this publicly. They fear the wrath of their people who might kill them."
As usual, Trump tries to mimic other opponents, adding: "There has never been a country leader who wanted this position less than the President of Iran. We listen to some of what they say. They say: 'I don’t want that. We want to make you the next Supreme Leader.' 'No, thanks, I don’t want it'."
Trump emphasized that the United States is achieving victory in the war on Iran, saying: "I have ended 8 wars and we are now winning the war on Iran. News of our defeat in the Middle East is false and it is us who are currently winning against Iran."
He added that "the Iranians no longer have a navy or air force," accusing the Democrats of trying to divert attention from the "military successes" that his administration is achieving in the region.
In discussing the military operation, Trump said: "I don’t want to use the word 'war' for the overwhelming military operation against Iran because the term 'war' requires approval from lawmakers," confirming that he will make the United States safe "despite the lack of cooperation from the Democrats with us amidst the war we are waging."
These statements come at a time when the American-Israeli war on Iran continues for the twenty-sixth consecutive day, with ongoing exchanges of missile strikes and drones. This comes in the context of Trump talking about negotiations with Iran, while Tehran continues to deny any direct contacts with Washington.
