Khaberni - The acting Secretary-General of the Ministry of Local Administration, Bakr Al-Rahamna, said on Thursday that the observations received so far are customary, expecting the impact of the weather depression to deepen in the coming hours.
Al-Rahamna added that the ministry has elevated the readiness level in the main and subsidiary emergency rooms in all the municipalities of the kingdom and joint services councils to operate around the clock for the next 24 hours to monitor the weather condition and immediately deal with any emergencies due to the expected heavy rain at dawn on Thursday.
He pointed to the ministry's communication with the Jordan Valley Authority regarding the dams that have reached high storage levels, confirming that the authority has taken all necessary measures to deal with the weather condition, adding that most of these dams have been filled as a result of the recent weather depression.
