Extension of the Closure of Israeli Airspace to Foreign Companies Until MidApril

Khaberni - The Israeli airport authorities announced this Wednesday evening the extension of restrictions imposed on Israeli airspace until April 16th, due to the ongoing military operations.

Hebrew reports clarified that the technical extension of the "Pilot Notice" (NOTAM) resulted from security evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Defense, which means the continued closure of airspace to most scheduled commercial flights.

Since the start of the joint attacks with the United States on Iran on February 28th, operations have been limited to reduced timetables confined to Israeli airlines only for evacuation flights and utmost necessity.

The airport authority stated in an official release: "We wish to clarify that there is no change in the status of the Israeli airspace, and the notice published today is a technical extension of the existing situation since the beginning of the war on Iran, which can be updated, shortened, or extended at any time, including on a daily basis according to field developments."

This decision continues to prevent foreign airlines from operating their flights to and from Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, coinciding with similar warnings issued by European and American aviation safety agencies regarding flying in the region as well.
