Iranian Missiles Completely Disrupt Ben Gurion Airport

Khaberni  - The Israeli Aviation Authority decided to completely shut down Ben Gurion Airport, attributing the action to barrages of Iranian missiles around the airport during the recent bombing.

The Hebrew "News 12" channel reported that one of the Israeli "Arkia" company's aircraft attempted to land at the airport three times on its return from Larnaca without success, due to heavy bombing in Tel Aviv.

According to the channel, it appears one of the main targets of Iran and its proxies is to disrupt air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport, which continues to operate even under enemy fire, a scene that is unusual and unacceptable in most countries during war.

The Israeli Aviation Authority confirms that it is working closely with the Home Front Command and the defense establishment, and that it is on high alert for all operational scenarios.

Despite the threats, Israel continues to operate its only air gateway in emergency mode, and the Aviation Authority receives early warnings, even before the citizens, and issues instructions to aircraft in the vicinity of the airspace to avoid the area.

The Hebrew channel quoted specialists as saying that the main security concern does not lie in the presence of aircraft in the air, especially as they can be diverted or directed to fly until the area is cleared of any threats; the real difficulty lies in getting aircraft to leave the airport.

According to a new plan adopted by the Israeli Aviation Authority two days ago, it was decided to limit the number of passengers on departing flights to a maximum of 50, while incoming flights continue at full capacity, according to "Globes" Hebrew newspaper.
