King Hussein Cancer Foundation Launches the Sixth Edition of the King Hussein Cancer Research Award

Khaberni - The King Hussein Cancer Foundation launched the sixth edition of the King Hussein Cancer Research Award, founded by Her Highness Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation and the King Hussein Cancer Center in 2020 to develop cancer research in the Arab world and not just rely on Western research, understanding the characteristics of cancer in the Arab region, and encouraging efforts to improve prevention and treatment methods, enabling us to confront and overcome cancer with advanced scientific methods.

The award categories include a Lifetime Achievement Award in both regional and international tracks, and the Young Researcher Award which is given to honor researchers at the beginning of their professional career, 45 years old and under, for their impactful and creative contributions to cancer research.

The Promising Researcher Grant, which will support two research proposals, to be accomplished in the Arab world by promising young researchers, along with the category of the Professional Development Program for Excellence in Cancer Patient Care, which honors programs affiliated with universities, academic institutions, or accredited hospitals in cancer patient care in the Arab world.

Arab researchers can submit their applications through the link www.kinghusseincanceraward.jo and applications will be available until the upcoming 15th of June.

In the past five years, the award has gathered around 900 researchers and scientists from around the world, whose applications underwent evaluation by a specialized judging panel based on scientific research criteria.
