Khaberni - 7 members of the Iraqi army were killed in the strike on a military base in the Anbar province in western Iraq on Wednesday morning, according to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense.
The ministry stated in a report that the raid on the military site in the Al-Habbaniyah area in Anbar in the morning resulted in "the martyrdom of 7 of our heroic fighters and injuring 13 others," noting that "the search is still ongoing" at the location.
A security official said that the site includes "members of the Iraqi army, the Federal Police, and the Popular Mobilization Forces" which are part of the Iraqi military institution and are affiliated with the armed forces.
The Al-Habbaniyah base had been targeted at dawn on Tuesday by a strike that left 15 dead among the Popular Mobilization Forces, which accused the United States of carrying it out.
