Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that in recent days, a wide series of security campaigns and high-quality raids were executed on a number of drug dealers, promoters, and smugglers in various regions of the kingdom through the daily efforts of the Drug Enforcement Administration to fight all forms of dealing with drugs.
The spokesperson confirmed that 13 cases and security campaigns were dealt with, during which 23 individuals were arrested and large quantities of drugs were confiscated.
In one of the most notable cases, within the jurisdiction of the Central Badia - Azraq district, two drug smugglers were arrested after confirming their possession of a large quantity of narcotic pills, and upon investigation, they confessed to hiding 100,000 narcotic pills in a deserted desert area. Based on their guidance, officials headed to the location and seized the drugs there.
In Mafraq Governorate, after surveillance and gathering information about an individual suspected of involvement with regional gangs to smuggle drugs and confirming his criminal activities and possession of drugs, and his use of a farm in Mafraq Governorate for storing and selling these substances, he was raided and arrested with 3 kilograms of Crystal Meth, 90 pieces of hashish, and 3000 narcotic pills found in his possession.
In Mafraq Governorate, three individuals suspected of smuggling and promoting drug cases were followed, leading to their arrest with 78,000 narcotic pills in their possession.
At the Omari border center, the Drug Enforcement teams, in coordination and cooperation with the Jordanian security forces and customs, thwarted an attempt by two individuals to smuggle 20,000 narcotic pills hidden inside one of their travel bags.
In Balqa Governorate, a drug promoter was raided and arrested after showing strong resistance to the force and firing towards them. He was arrested and handled without notable injuries, and the firearm he used and a quantity of drugs were seized from his possession.
In Aqaba Governorate, a promoter was caught with three blocks of hashish, while two promoters were arrested in Ramtha district and found in possession of 3000 narcotic pills and two blocks of hashish.
Additionally, in East Amman, a security campaign was carried out against drug dealers and promoters, during which six of them were arrested, and one was found in possession of 20 blocks of hashish, 1000 narcotic pills, and firearms.
In South Amman, 5 cases were dealt with in areas of South Amman; in the first case, a drug dealer was arrested with 8000 narcotic pills in his possession. In the second case, a drug promoter was caught with a half-kilogram of Crystal Meth and a quantity of narcotic pills. In the third case, 2 kilograms of marijuana were seized.
In the fourth case, a drug promoter was raided, arrested, and found with a half-kilogram of Crystal Meth. In the last of the cases, 5 blocks of hashish were seized from an individual after his arrest.
