62 Average Occupancy Rate for FiveStar Hotels During Eid AlFitr Holiday

Khaberni  - The Jordan Hotels Association confirmed that hotel occupancy rates during the blessed Eid Al-Fitr holiday in 2026, updated until Tuesday, March 24, showed variability, indicating that the approximate average occupancy in five-star hotels reached about 62%, with more than 8 out of 19 hotels exceeding a 50% occupancy rate.

In contrast, four-star hotels recorded an average occupancy of 67%, with more than 4 out of 29 hotels exceeding the 50% threshold.

The association clarified in a press release that full occupancy (100%) was recorded in one hotel of the five-star category and another in the four-star category. It pointed out that the rise in occupancy rates in some hotels is due to hosting evacuation groups from neighboring countries amidst the current regional conditions, which contributed to a diversity of nationalities residing within these facilities.

Regarding geographic distribution, statistics showed a clear variation between tourist destinations. The capital, Amman, registered occupancy rates of 40% for five-star hotels and 22% for four-star hotels. In contrast, the rates in the Dead Sea area were 27% and 16% respectively, while Petra recorded low rates of 1% for five-star hotels and 3% for four-star hotels.
