Khaberni - The Egyptian State Ministry of Information confirmed its monitoring of the article attributed to the so-called Fouad Al-Hashem, the Kuwaiti journalist, which included insults to Egypt and its people, and Arab ethical values, as well as claims that disparage the health and tourism sectors in Egypt.
The ministry stated in a press release: The fact that this individual indulged in vulgarities used against Egypt and its people is unacceptable, a moral decline before being a professional and media downfall, and it is behavior that cannot be tolerated or ignored.
The ministry extended its greetings to Kuwaiti voices and those from other Gulf countries, including journalists, intellectuals, officials, and honorable citizens, who rushed to condemn that person’s actions toward Egypt and its people, and expressed the national and nationalist sentiments that are natural and rooted in both the Egyptian and Kuwaiti peoples, and their articles and opinions highlighted the social, political, and cultural ties linking the two brotherly countries through ancient and modern history, reminding us of dozens of figures who contributed to strengthening these relations between the two countries including Kuwaiti media, which gratefully remembers major names that contributed to its renaissance such as the late Dr. Ahmed Zaki and Professor Ahmed Baha El Din and others.
The State Ministry of Information urged Egyptian journalists and citizens not to fall into the trap of confusing this individual’s deviation from all values, norms, and ethics with the brotherly Kuwaiti people who love Egypt, led by their leaders, citizens, and cultural and media elites, always keen on maintaining good relations with Egypt, its leadership and its people, and not to be drawn into the sedition intended by this offensive individual at this particular time to create discord between the two peoples, as the article’s writer represents only himself, and we expect better from Kuwait’s media and people.
The statement included:
