Khaberni - "Monte Carlo" radio disclosed on Tuesday that Real Madrid management got rid of the medical team due to the initial misdiagnosis of French star Kylian Mbappé's injury after doctors examined the wrong knee of the striker instead of the injured one.
The captain of the French national team had resorted to knee injury specialist Bertrand Sonery Cotieh and traveled to Paris to get the correct diagnosis and recover from his latest injury.
Mbappé confirmed in his latest statements: "I was lucky enough to get the right diagnosis when I went to Paris, and together we were able to devise the best plan for me to return to top form and be fit by the end of the season with Real Madrid and for the World Cup."
Journalist Daniel Riolo from "Monte Carlo" radio mentioned that Mbappé showed his extreme anger at Real Madrid during the period when he was feeling uncomfortable, due to the wrong diagnosis of his injury.
The journalist revealed surprising details about why Mbappé did not improve, stating: "It's clear that there is an error at Real Madrid after the player decided to travel to Paris. I would say that the reason is that the diagnosis given to Mbappé's knee was disastrous, as it was a very serious mistake, and for this reason, the club fired everyone."
Daniel Riolo added: "Mbappé spent time not knowing what he had, and he could have broken his knee because he continued his activity even though he still felt pain. The mistake was big, as the medical team of Real Madrid examined his other knee, not the one that was injured."
Mbappé (27 years old) missed four matches in the Spanish league in 2026 due to a chronic knee problem since last season, but he participated as a substitute in the 64th minute during Real Madrid's 3-2 win over their neighbor Atlético last Sunday.
