Khaberni - Early Tuesday morning, Dr. Ahmed Atef Dorra, the Egyptian director, journalist, and managing editor of "Al-Ahram" newspaper, passed away after a prolific career in cinema and journalism.
The funeral prayers for the deceased were held after the afternoon prayer at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed, before his body was buried in the family cemetery.
The deceased presented several cinematic works which varied in their themes, including notable films like "Omar 2000," "How to Make Girls Love You," "The Forest," "Before Spring," and "East Gate."
He also contributed to television drama through the series "Capable Women," which addressed women's issues in a social and humanitarian context.
Besides his artistic career, the deceased was known as a prominent critic and journalist at Al-Ahram institution, where he enriched the critical movement with his articles and analyses, providing distinctive insights into various artistic works.
