Jordanians Turn to Candles Kerosene and Old Lamps

Khaberni - Jordanian markets have witnessed a significant increase in the acquisition of traditional and old tools designated for household uses and lighting, in anticipation of any emergency in the upcoming period.

Merchants told "Khaberni" that Jordanians have significantly turned to buying candles. Citizens have also turned to purchasing old lamps and "kerosene lamps," in addition to rechargeable and battery-operated lights.

The demand was not limited to lighting means only, but also included energy storage devices (power banks), along with regular batteries, amid increasing interest in securing alternative energy sources.

The markets also saw an influx of citizens buying flour, canned goods, dry legumes, Jameed, and other essential storable grocery items for long periods.

Meanwhile, fuel station owners confirmed to "Khaberni" that the demand for kerosene has doubled.
