Jordan Public Security Warns of Expected Weather Instability Tomorrow

Khaberni - The Public Security Directorate warned of the expected weather instability tomorrow, where rain is expected to start from the southern regions, including the city of Aqaba, to later extend and cover various regions of the kingdom, possibly being heavy at times, accompanied by thunder and hailstorms, according to meteorological bulletins issued by relevant authorities.

The Directorate called on citizens to take necessary precautions, follow proper conduct, and avoid the edges of valleys, flood formation areas, and low-lying areas, including the Aqaba and Dead Sea areas, and not to risk crossing water gatherings, whether on foot or by vehicle.

It also emphasized the importance of cautious driving on roads that may experience rainfalls, being wary due to reduced horizontal visibility caused by fog over mountainous elevations, and due to dust in desert areas.

It warned of the severity of wind speeds and accompanying strong gusts, stressing the need to secure objects that are susceptible to being airborne.

It also called for safe use of various heating devices, not to refuel them while lit, turning them off before sleeping, and the necessity of providing appropriate ventilation continuously inside homes, warning against the use of wood stoves which may cause suffocation incidents.

The Directorate confirmed the readiness of all its personnel to deal with various incidents, urging to contact the unified emergency number (911) when needed.
