Khaberni - Representative Hassan Al-Riyati has requested the Aqaba Development Corporation to disclose the costs of the Aqaba Stadium inauguration ceremony, although the stadium has been operational for years and hosts events and matches regularly.
Al-Riyati questioned the justification for holding the ceremony at this time, the costs involved, and the entities contracted for its execution, emphasizing that public money is a trust and must be subject to transparency and accountability, especially given the economic circumstances.
He called for revealing the details of the costs, the mechanism of expenditure, and how the funds were spent, out of respect for public opinion and to enhance the principle of transparency.
