She explained that the biggest challenge during that time was not just returning to filming, but also performing scenes that required overwhelming emotions of joy and happiness despite being in a state of deep sadness.

Sawsan Badr said: ""Mai Omar took a half-day leave after her father's death, and I see it's very painful for her to come down and laugh and act and take on the responsibility to end her series so it would be as strong as it started, my heart aches for her.".

It is noted that Mai Omar's father passed away concurrently with the filming of the last scenes of the series "The Lady Monalisa," which aired in the first half of the Ramadan drama season 2026.
