Khaberni - The Civil Defense Directorate dealt with 6279 different incidents during the happy Eid Al-Fitr holiday, distributed between 5338 different medical cases, controlling 210 fire incidents, while the rescue teams responded to 731 rescue incidents.
The directorate explained that among the most prominent incidents dealt with during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday were in the capital's governorate in the southern Marka area, where a response was made to a fire that broke out in a four-story building, with the fire in a room on the third floor, where the fire was extinguished and resulted in two individuals suffering from breathing difficulties; they were provided with first aid and transferred to Al-Bashir Government Hospital.
In the Al-Mustanada area, a response was made to a fire inside a house, resulting in 5 people suffering from breathing difficulties, with four of them being transported to the nearest hospital, except for one whose general condition was minor.
Four individuals suffering from breathing difficulties in the Abu Alanda area were dealt with due to the incorrect use of a kerosene heater; they were taken and treated at Al-Bashir Government Hospital. Additionally, the firefighter crews of the West Amman Civil Defense Directorate responded to a fire that broke out in a house located on the second floor of a four-story building in the Khalda area, and the fire was extinguished with one injury resulting from minor burns, and first aid was provided to the injured and transported to Prince Hussein Government Hospital.
In the Irbid governorate in Al-Nuaima area, a response was made to a fire that broke out inside a grocery store, where the fire was extinguished with no resulting injuries.
In the Balqa governorate, a response was made to a fire inside a house with a total area of 200 square meters, where the fire was extinguished and controlled with no resulting injuries. A fire that erupted in a four-story building resulted in 7 people suffering from breathing difficulties and they were treated and transported to Prince Hussein Government Hospital.
In the Zarqa governorate by the Greisa area road, a response was made to a fire inside a warehouse owned by a poultry farm with a total area estimated at 500 square meters containing poultry supplies and others; the fire was extinguished with no casualties.
In the Karak governorate, firefighting crews dealt with a fire in the second floor of a two-story building, resulting in four individuals suffering from breathing difficulties, who were treated and transported to the nearest hospital.
In the Jerash governorate, a fire was dealt with inside a woodworking shop with an area estimated at 80 meters, especially since the total area of the woodworking shop is estimated at 240 meters; the fire was extinguished with no life injuries.
The directorate emphasized the need to adopt appropriate preventive behavior when using heaters, not to allow children to play near heaters, and the necessity of providing proper ventilation in homes, not to sleep while the heater is ignited, and to check the hoses and the leak proof "gasket," urging citizens to report any incidents through the emergency number (911) when needed.
