Toll from US Bombing on Popular Mobilization Forces Headquarters in Iraq Rises to 15 Dead

Khaberni - The death toll from a US bombing at dawn on Tuesday on a headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces operations in western Iraq rose to 15 members, according to a statement released by the authority.

Among those killed was the operations commander of Anbar province in the Popular Mobilization Forces, Saad Dawai, according to the statement.

The Iran war broke out on February 28, following widespread airstrikes by the United States and Israel as part of the "Epic Wrath" and "Lion's Roar" operations, targeting vital and military facilities and command centers in Tehran and several other cities, resulting in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the first day, alongside several high-ranking officials and leaders, including the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, and prominent commanders of the Revolutionary Guard.

In response, Iran initiated "True Promise 4", launching hundreds of missiles and drones towards Israel and countries in the region, along with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, causing a rise in energy prices.

The war extended to Lebanon on March 2, after Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel following the assassination of Ali Khamenei, to which Israel retaliated with widespread airstrikes and a ground incursion into southern Lebanon.
